Trap Program

Animal Care & Control provides and delivers traps to City residents for a refundable deposit fee of $40.00. The resident has use of the trap for two weeks. Residents are to call Animal Care & Control as often as they need to have animals removed. At the end of two weeks the trap ACC picks up the trap and the deposit is returned (if the trap is not damaged, stolen or lost). Traps are on a first-come first-serve basis.

Deceased Animals

Animal Care & Control provides service for animals that pass away. Residents can call the Animal Care & Control office to have their own pets picked up or whenever something is seen along the road, street, sidewalk or park. There is no charge for this service.

All dogs (3 months or older) within the City are required to have a current license. Licenses can be obtained in one of three ways: Animal Care & Control can come to any residents home to sell licenses: a license form can be mailed; or licenses can be picked up in person at the City County Building Treasures office. Cats are not required to have licenses but are required to have I.D tags. Failure to have these tags can result in a $100.00 citation.

Rabies Vaccinations

All cats and dogs, for the safety of the pet and the community, are required to have this vaccination. Residents must keep paper work and tags are to be place on the collars. Failure to have this vaccination can result in a $100.00 citation.
