City of Pittsburgh
Redd Up Zone

A clean community can discourage littering and improve community appearance and quality of life.  Mayor Luke Ravenstahl’s Redd Up Zone encourages businesses and organizations to recruit volunteers to adopt a designated area, a ‘Redd Up Zone,’ and coordinate year-round cleanup efforts to enhance the appearance, safety and cleanliness of Pittsburgh’s streets. The City provides groups with two signs along the zone as well as trash removal and extensive cleanup materials.
