City of Pittsburgh
Love Your Block

Abandoned homes and vacant properties can plague the City’s communities with neighborhood blight.  Mayor Luke Ravenstahl’s Love Your Block program invites community groups to propose projects to transform their blocks with a small grant from The Home Depot Foundation and support from key City departments. Selected grant recipients purchase equipment and supplies, engage their neighbors, and roll up their sleeves to carry out their project. Past projects include a popup café, rain garden, memorial restoration, vacant lot remediation and more.
