Adult Survival Series
a program for adults 18 years and older
Prepare to survive! Learn survival skills such as shelter building, fire making, water collection and wild edibles identification.*

Backyard Compost Class - with PA Resources Council
Learn how to turn your yard waste and food scraps into a valuable resource for your garden. Topics include the composting process, benefits of composting and maintaining a compost pile.

Native Seed Class - An Urban EcoSteward (UES) Training
Join Kathy McGregor of Sylvania Natives for this popular hands-on workshop on collecting and storing native seeds.

Summer Day Camps encourage children to discover the wonders of nature. Programs include Kinder Nature Camp, Kids Nature Camp, Outdoor Expeditions, and Survival Camp.
Frick Nature School
a program for children ages 3-5
Children experience the wonders of nature through stories, lessons, songs and hikes in Frick Park during this series of five classes.

Night Explorers
Kids ages 10-14 and their parents learn about life in the woods at night as we hike on the trails during this night exploration.

Bump in the Night
Families, scouts and youth organizations enjoy this fall evening of experiencing the shadowy sights and sounds of nature at night. Meet a nocturnal animal. Take a short night walk. Celebrate fall by carving a pumpkin to take home. Join others in a spirited sing-along and enjoy refreshments. This program is designed for all to enjoy—rather than fear—the night.*
