CITIPARKS "RESERVOIR OF JAZZ" CONCERT SERIES RETURNS IN AUGUST
Free Citiparks concert series entertains in Highland Park

(PITTSBURGH) July 21, 2011 - This summer you can once again relax on the lawn at Highland Park to the sounds of jazz performed by Pittsburgh’s finest musicians.  Residents look forward to the month of August each year to witness this showcase of the area’s extraordinary talent of jazz at the ever-popular “Reservoir of Jazz” series.  Performances will take place every Sunday in August from 5 - 7 p.m.

The “Reservoir of Jazz” concert series will launch on Sunday, August 7, at 5 p.m. with a performance by the BOILERMAKER JAZZ BAND.

The four-week concert series is sponsored by Highland Park Community Council, BNY Mellon and State Representative Joe Preston.

Stay after the Reservoir of Jazz concerts for Citiparks “Summer Soul Line Dancing” in Highland Park.  Instructor Roland Ford incorporates R&B music in classes that begin with basic steps and finish with more advanced moves.  Citiparks also presents free line dancing sessions this summer at Schenley Park Skating Rink and Mellon Park Tennis Center.
