SCHENLEY PARK POOL CLOSED TEMPORARILY
City closes pool temporarily, spray parks offer recreation for all ages

The City’s Schenley Park Swimming Pool, located on Overlook Drive, will be closed until further notice due to a mechanical malfunction that took place on Saturday.

In addition, Magee Pool, located at 745 Greenfield Avenue, remains closed as repairs continue from last week’s sewer line collapse.

In the meantime, residents are encouraged to visit one of the City’s other 17 pools or two spray parks.  To view a listing of pool and spray park locations, visit www.citiparks.net.

The City’s two popular spray parks – located in Troy Hill (Goettman St.) and Beechview (Orangewood St.) – provide cool recreation on hot summer days.  Movement sensors cause sprayers to magically turn on and off water features at the two free facilities.  Since children don't need swimming skills for these three-dimensional worlds of water, everyone from the tiniest toddler to a pre-teen adventurer, and even those using wheelchairs, can enjoy spray parks with equal enthusiasm.
