Whether you’re an experienced runner or just beginning a running program, plan to attend the Allegheny Sports Medicine Running Clinic on Saturday, August 4, from 8 a.m. – noon at the AGH Federal North Building on Pittsburgh's North Side.
The Allegheny General Hospital Sports Medicine Team has developed an individual screening program designed for runners of all levels.
As you visit each of the assessment and information stations, you will receive feedback tailored to your own running needs concerning:
· Choosing and maintaining the correct running shoe
· Functional assessment
· Injury assessment by sports medicine physicians
· Nutrition information
· Foods/fluids as fuel
· Chronic injury assessment and prevention
· Designing a training program to fit your needs
