Now that cold weather has arrived, grab your skates and head to Schenley Park to enjoy another season of ice skating! The Schenley Park Skating Rink - one of only four outdoor rinks located in Allegheny County and the only regulation size rink in the City of Pittsburgh - is now open for the 2010-2011 season.
"The Schenley Park Skating Rink remains one of Pittsburghers' favorite winter attractions," according to Mayor Luke Ravenstahl. "Nothing compares with skating outside in the elements, and our rink offers a beautiful tree-lined setting, great music and a view of the downtown Pittsburgh skyline."
The rink operates seven days a week and offers a variety of public sessions, special events and lessons.
