Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)

The HOPWA program is the only federal program dedicated solely to the housing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS. The program offers:

  • Short term rent assistance
  • Mortgage and utilitiy assistance
  • Long term ternant-based rental assistance
  • Permanent housing facilities
  • Essential referral services for people living with HIV/AIDS.
