The City of Pittsburgh in collaboration with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership is seeking to locate existing works of art or to commission new works of art in Market Square, the central public plaza in Downtown Pittsburgh, on a temporary basis.  The exhibition period for this temporary public art program will take place from February – April 2014, 2015, and 2016.  Artists or teams of artists will be selected to participate in the program through this call for artists. There is a range of possible project budgets.  The budget for newly commissioned artworks is $50,000 - $75,000.  The budget to install existing artworks is $10,000 - $50,000.   See above link for full project details and application requirements.
