Right-of-Way Permits

The Department of Mobility and Infrastructure (DOMI) issues and enforces permits for distruptions, occupancy, and construction in the public Right-of-Way of the City of Pittsburgh.

The DOMI Permit Office

Our Permit Office is located at 611 Second Avenue (Google Maps), underneath the Liberty Bridge. All permits must be submited at this office. For permit fees we accept credit cards, checks, and money orders.

City of Pittsburgh residents, whether you are a long time resident doing some renovation work or a new transplant looking to park a moving pod or truck, in order to reserve on street parking space you will need to apply for a Dumpster Permit. For more information please see our webpage:

Dumpster Permit

While commonly refered to as the Dumpster Permit it is actually required for a number of disruptions to on street parking spaces including the following:

  • Moving Pods
  • Barricades
  • Equipment
  • Scaffolding
  • Construction Material Storage

Dumpster Permit

This permit is needed for temporary reservation and occupanct of on street parking space, such as a dumpster, material delivery, equipment storage, scafolding, and anything else that may disrupt on street parking space.

OneStopPGH

This new online app has been designed to, true to its name, be the one stop shop for all permits issued by the City by 2020. Over the course of 2019 permits will be added according to their timeline.
