For an eighth consecutive year, the chefs of Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire's Eight Engine and Truck Company in East Liberty took home the title of CHILI COOK-OFF CHAMP for once again serving their popular "backdraft" recipe. The Firehouse Chili Cook-Off took place Monday, September 10, at the East Liberty farmers' market and raised awareness of fire prevention measures -- while raising $1,000 for charity. Thanks to chefs from VFW Post 214 (“Stars and Stripes" chili) and Ladies AOH Division 23 (“Shamrock" chili) for taking part in the heated competition!
