Sylvia HarrisSylvia Harris serves as the Deputy Director of Operations for the Department of Innovation & Performance. Sylvia is in charge of all IT operations and support for the City of Pittsburgh, both on-site and remotely. She has been working for the City of Pittsburgh since 2008.
A proud native of Chicago, Sylvia is a fan of baseball and the Pittsburgh Pirates--second only to the Chicago Cubs. Sylvia enjoys living in her adopted city of Pittsburgh, and she's enthusiastic about the recent tech and cultural renaissance in the city.
Deputy Director of Operations
James SlossJim Sloss began his career with the City of Pittsburgh in 2001. He served as the city’s first Energy & Utilities Manager, and is now the Deputy Director of Administration for the Department of Innovation & Performance.
Jim received his master’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, specializing in Urban Public Finance, in 2000. He and his wife, Amelia, reside in Squirrel Hill.
Deputy Director of Administration
Alex NunleyAlex Nunley services as Technical Infrastructure Manager, responsible for managing technical analysts as well as the infrastructure that underlies the core compute operations of the department. Starting in September of 2010 as a Network Analyst 1, Alex has worked his way up the ranks and brings a unique perspective and insight to the management team.
Father and Husband, this Wisconsin native proudly knows nothing of sports. Avid camper and beer enthusiast, don’t be surprised if you see him with a gadget in hand.
Technology Infrastructure Manager
Grant ErvinGrant Ervin serves as the Sustainability Manager for the City of Pittsburgh. He works to improve sustainability performance through city operations and policies. Grant has been working for the City of Pittsburgh since 2014.
He is a member of the Urban Sustainability Directors Network and a board member of Sustainable Pittsburgh. Grant lives in Morningside with his wife and two children. He enjoys participating in neighborhood activities and organizations, as well as sports, traveling, and reading.
Sustainability Manager/Chief Resilience Officer
Stacy HillStacy Hill serves as the Administration Manager for the Department of Innovation & Performance. She oversees and fulfills all administrative and HR functions for the department. Stacy has been working for the City of Pittsburgh for over 30 years, through six mayoral administrations, and has worked in five different departments.
Stacy’s favorite thing about working for the Department of Innovation & Performance is the opportunity to learn more about technology. She enjoys spending time with her family: her sisters, her husband and three children, and her two dogs.
Laura MeixellLaura Meixell serves as the Analytics and Strategy Manager for the City of Pittsburgh. She manages the city's Open Data program and works on issues of university and intra-municipal collaboration.
Laura is from Bethlehem, PA and went to school at the University of Pittsburgh, where she earned a degree from the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs. Laura's hobbies include running, traveling, hiking, and camping.
Analytics and Strategy Manager
Gwen MoorerGwen Moorer serves as the Financial Systems manager for the Department of Innovation & Performance. She manages analysts and developers who support City of Pittsburgh financial systems and applications. Gwen has a BA in Administration and Management from Chatham University.
Gwen is from New Jersey and is now a resident of the Mexican War Streets in the North Side. She enjoys working on neighborhood development committees, volunteering her time in the community, and spending time with her three sons and two grandsons.
Software Systems Manager
Christine RiceChristine Rice serves as the Client Relations Manager for the Department of Innovation & Performance. She oversees email administration, Tier 1 support, and help desk support. Christine has been working for the City of Pittsburgh since 1999. She is from Pittsburgh and has a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Point Park University.
Client Relations Manager
Wendy UrbanicWendy Urbanic serves as the 311 Manager for the City of Pittsburgh. Wendy has been working for the City since 1999 and has worked for 311 since it opened in 2006, so she has had the opportunity to shape how the department works as it has grown over the years.
She is on the board of the Association of Government Call Center Professionals, a national call center organization. One of Wendy’s personal professional goals is to meet every city employee.
Rich MarmuraRich Marmura serves as the Digital Engagement – Content Supervisor for the City of Pittsburgh. He works to improve the content and user experience of the city’s digital products. Rich joined the Department of Innovation and Performance in 2016.
Rich is a graduate of Westminster College (New Wilmington, PA) and Carnegie Mellon University. He lives in Squirrel Hill with his wife and son. Rich is an avid runner, cook and game developer.
