A native and life-long resident of Pittsburgh, Guy resides in Squirrel Hill with his wife Cathy and their son Joey.
He is a graduate of Linden Elementary School and Taylor Allderdice High School, and earned his undergraduate degree in Education from Duquesne University.
Guy brings to the city over 35 years of public service experience. He served over 15 years with the City of Pittsburgh as Director of Public Works, Director of General Services, and Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Parking Authority, and worked 17 years with Allegheny County’s Department of Economic Development, Department of Public Works, and the Allegheny County Parks Foundation. He also began his career as a teacher with the Pittsburgh Public Schools.
During his previous tenure with the city, Guy served on several boards including the Chairman of the Pittsburgh Equipment Leasing Authority, the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership, Pittsburgh Marathon Inc., Three Rivers Regatta and the Pennsylvania Parking Association.
As Chief Operations Officer, Guy oversees all operational functions of city government, with responsibilities over Public Works, Parks & Recreation, the Parking Authority, and the Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority.
