As Chief of Staff, Kevin reports directly to the Mayor and manages the City's Executive Team.
As Chief Development Officer, he oversees all development activities in the city, with responsibilities over City Planning, Urban Redevelopment Authority, Pittsburgh Water & Sewer Authority, Sports & Exhibition Authority, and the Stadium Authority.
Kevin is a graduate of Pittsburgh Central Catholic High School, then graduated cum laude from Harvard University, and then earned his law degree cum laude from Georgetown University.
After beginning his law career in Boston, Kevin returned to Pittsburgh and is a partner in the law firm Saul Ewing LLP, with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, purchases and sales of businesses, and private equity and venture capital transactions. He also handles various matters for pro bono clients, with a focus on representing victims of domestic violence in protection from abuse matters.
Kevin was introduced to public service by his grandfather, who served as a Battalion Chief with the Pittsburgh Fire Bureau and was long-time Commander of VFW Post 223 in Oakland. His uncle is a retired Captain with the Pittsburgh Fire Bureau, and his younger brother serves as a State Police Trooper.
He is a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and serves on the Board of Directors of Community Human Services and is Chairman of Reading is FUNdamental Pittsburgh. He was also a past President of the Economic Club of Pittsburgh and co-founder of RenewPittsburgh.
A native of South Oakland, Kevin now resides in Squirrel Hill with his wife Erica and three children, George, Teddy and Caroline.
