MAYOR WILLIAM PEDUTO ANNOUNCES "MAYOR'S NIGHT OUT"
Mayor and top administrators invite Hilltop residents to share ideas, concerns

MEDIA ADVISORY

PITTSBURGH, PA - (April 3, 2014) This Monday evening Mayor William Peduto and his top staff will meet personally with residents to hear -- and act upon -- their ideas and concerns about City government issues.

During the “Mayor’s Night Out” any resident who wants to talk can meet one-on-one with Mayor Peduto at a City recreation center in Beltzhoover, and he will direct them to the appropriate administrator for follow-up. Later in the month he will hold a “Mayor’s Night In” where people from around the city can come to his offices for similar consultations.

The events will be regularly scheduled and move throughout the City.

Holding the regular sessions reflects the Mayor’s efforts to instill transparency and accountability into City government, and follow such moves as making his daily schedule public, hiring top officials through the public-private Talent City process, creating a Community Affairs team that meets nightly with neighborhood groups, and creating a Bureau of Neighborhood Empowerment to focus strictly on struggling communities.

WHAT: Mayor William Peduto’s first “Mayor’s Night Out”

WHERE: Warrington community recreation center, 329 E. Warrington Ave., Beltzhoover
