'Pothole Blitz' Postponed One Week Due to Weather Conditions
Residents encouraged to continue to contact 311 with pothole issues

PITTSBURGH, PA (November 18, 2014) - The City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works has postponed the three-day “Pothole Blitz” for one week due to current inclement weather conditions.

“DPW intended to do a pothole blitz over the next three days, however, Mother Nature had different plans,” said Public Works Director Mike Gable. “Due to the weather conditions and temperatures, we are rescheduling the 'blitz' for November 24 through 26 and we ask that residents please continue to submit the potholes that need attention to the 311 Response Center.”

Since the “blitz” was announced last week, the City of Pittsburgh 311 Response Center received 191 submissions.

All calls to 311 are answered by a live operator from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. In the City of Pittsburgh, dial 3-1-1. Outside of Pittsburgh, call 412-255-2621. Voice or text messages can be submitted by dialing or texting 412-573-9736. Online submissions can be sent at any time via Twitter to @Pgh311 or the online form on the city website:
