Public Safety Resources

Support for Block Watches and Public Safety Councils: The Mayor's Office provides support for both the development and formation of block watches and public safety councils in the City of Pittsburgh. Representatives from the Mayor's Office are available to assist in developing relationships between citizens and law enforcement, liaison between groups and City departments, and educate involved citizens about the various City resources available for their participation in crime-fighting efforts. Block watch trainings may be offered for community members on a periodic basis.

Information on Citywide Public Safety Initiatives: The Mayor's Office staff is available to answer any questions that you may have about citywide Public Safety initiatives and strategies, and how they impact on your neighborhood. Additionally, they can provide information about City Public Safety departments and their responsibilities, upon request.
