Environmental Services will begin enforcing overgrowth and debris violations effective March 13, 2026.

On January 1, 2026, the 2021 International Code Council (ICC) codes will be effective for PLI's development applications. Please check PLI's Bulletins webpage for a revised "UCC 2021 Code Adoption" policy. This policy provides information about the adopted 2021 ICC Codes and requirements for using the 2018 ICC code.

Code Enforcement

One purpose of the Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections Code Enforcement is to protect the health, safety, and welfare in existing buildings and structures.

PLI Fees

The cost of a permit will now be calculated based on the total construction value of the project.

Appeals

All appeal applications must be made electronically through the online OneStopPGH system.
