Uniform Construction Codes

Construction in the City of Pittsburgh is regulated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s statewide building code, known as the Uniform Construction Code (UCC). Please refer to PA Department of Labor & Industry for general information on the UCC. The Commonwealth adopted the International Code Council’s (ICC) family of codes, see this list of UCC adopted codes and related regulations and statues.

The City of Pittsburgh amended these codes under City of Pittsburgh's Code of Ordinances - Title 10.
