What is a Residential Electrical Permit?
Residential electrical permits are required for electrical work performed for structures that are only a single or two-family dwellings. See this link for work not requiring a permit.
All residential electrical work requiring a permit is to be completed by a City of Pittsburgh licensed electrician. Please see registration requirements to obtain a license.
How to Obtain a Residential Electrical Permit

Third Party Agency Information
Currently Inspections for Residential Electrical Permits must be performed by an Approved Third Party Agency.
