2 CARRICK SHOOTINGS BELIEVED TO BE RELATED

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PITTSBURGH, PA – The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police is investigating two shootings in Carrick early this morning believed to be connected.

Zone 3 police responded to the 1900 block of Brownsville Road at approximately 2:34 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot. Officers found a 31-year-old male victim from Bellevue who had been shot once in the neck. The victim was transported to UPMC Mercy where he was listed in serious but stable condition.

While Officers were investigating the scene, a second victim, a 25-year-old male from Lawrenceville, walked into UPMC Mercy with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. He was last reported to be in stable condition.

Based on the investigation, it is believed that the both shootings are related. Both victims refused to cooperate with police.
