Block Watches, like boxes, come in all shapes, sizes, and combinations but each has the purpose of forging close ties and trust among residents, businesses and law enforcement to keep communities safe.
The Block Watch in a Box (BWiB) tool kit will provide the information you need to start up or strengthen a block watch or other public safety group. It contains information on city departments, programs and initiatives that may be helpful to you.
As a convenience, the Mayor's office has made Block Watch in a Box available to all residents online. Using the links below, you can access the Block Watch in a Box toolkit, either in its entirety. Feel free to download the toolkit and print the files at home.
In order to receive a hard copy of the tool kit to use as resources for building your strategy, please register below or contact Liz Style at 412-255-4772 or at elizabeth.style@pittsburghpa.gov.
