Just before 3 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to reports of a female shot at Finance Street and N. Homewood Avenue by the East Busway overpass.
Arriving units located a 21-year-old female victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. Medic 11 transported her to the hospital in grave condition where she was later pronounced deceased.
Police are searching for two males who were wearing masks and black clothing. They reportedly fled the area in a vehicle on North Homewood toward Penn Ave.
The Mobile Crime Unit processed the scene. Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
