Date: June 12, 2024 Incident Type: Stabbing Location: Zone 2 Summary:
Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 were dispatched just after 12:30 a.m. for reports of a disturbance in an apartment building in the 1600 block of Colwell Street in the city's Crawford-Roberts neighborhood.
Upon entry, arriving officers located an adult male victim in the building hallway with a stab wound to his chest. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by Pittsburgh EMS.
The victim will be identified by the Allegheny County Office of the Medical Examiner.
No arrests have been made at this time, but multiple individuals were detained for questioning.
The Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process all evidence at the scene.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
