Date: August 8, 2024 Incident Type: Shots fired Location: Zone 3 Summary:
At approximately 12:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 were dispatched following 9-1-1 calls for reports of multiple shots heard in the1800 block area of Brownsville Road near Carrick High School, Phillips Rec Center, and Phillips Pool.
Arriving officers located two vehicles in the 1800 block of Brownsville that had sustained damage from gunfire as well as spent shell casings. No injuries were reported.
Officers also located six shell casings on a walkway outside Carrick High School on Parkfield Street. School Police were notified to check on any possible video footage.
A resident in the 100 block of Parkfield showed officers what she believed to be bullet damage to the outside of her house near her door.
There are no suspects at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
