Pittsburgh Police Make Arrest in Hill District Homicide

Summary:

Violent Crime Division and Fugitive Apprehension Unit detectives, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, the PA Office of the Attorney General, and Wilkinsburg P.D, arrested Deshawn Wallace on a warrant in connection with a January 31, 2024 homicide in the 2200 block of Webster Avenue.

Wallace, 46, was arrested on the East Busway following a brief foot pursuit and was charged with Criminal Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

Wallace was in possession of narcotics during his arrest and faces additional charges.

He was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
