Police, Fire, and EMS Respond to Stabbing Incident in Carrick

Just before 9:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the unit block of Newett Street in Carrick for reports of a stabbing.

Arriving responders located an adult male in the 1800 block of Brownsville Road with several stab wounds to his arm. He was transported by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital in serious condition. Upon arrival at the hospital, his condition was upgraded to stable.

The male had been involved in a domestic dispute with a female on Newett Street. He then left the residence, arriving at Brownsville Road where he was found.

The female has been taken into custody.

Zone 3 detectives are continuing the investigation.
