Just after 8:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4 responded to the 5900 block of Centre Avenue in Shadyside for reports of an armed robbery at a local pharmacy business.
Employees told officers that a male actor, presumed to be an adult, entered the store, approached a cashier, pointed a firearm, and demanded money from the register.
The actor got away with an undisclosed amount of cash before he fled the scene on foot.
No injuries were reported.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence, including surveillance footage.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
