UPDATE: Police Respond to Shooting in Marshall-Shadeland, Two Arrested

UPDATE: Bryant Mathis, 16 (Act 33), and Daeshaun Buchanan, 20, both face numerous charges including Aggravated Assault, Criminal Conspiracy, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person, in addition to several more. Both remain in the Allegheny County Jail.

Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched to the 1200 block of Woodland Avenue just after 5:45 p.m. for a thirteen-round ShotSpotter notification.
Arriving officers were met by a 17-year-old male victim who had just pulled up to his residence and was about to begin unloading groceries from his car when two male assailants approached him and began shooting.
Cameras in the area caught the incident and police were able to locate and apprehend the two suspects a short time later.
The victim did not sustain any injuries during the shooting.
An adjacent, occupied home was struck by bullets. None of those residents reported any injuries. A nearby vehicle was also hit by gunfire.
The Mobile Crime Unit was called to the scene to process evidence.
The two suspects were taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail. Charges against them both are forthcoming.
