UPDATE: Police Investigate Aggravated Assault in Stanton Heights

UPDATE: Police arrested Virginia Beck, 63, of Pittsburgh in connection with this incident.

Beck is charged with Criminal Attempt Homicide, Aggravated Assault, Endangering the Welfare of Children, and Recklessly Endangering Another Person.

She was transported to the Allegheny County Jail.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., a 16-year-old male was dropped off at a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.

He was last listed in stable condition.

The victim was taken to the hospital by a female family member who left before police arrived.

Officers are on scene at a residence in the 100 block of Hawthorne Court in Stanton Heights where the incident is believed to have occurred.

The investigation is ongoing.
