At approximately 12:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the intersection of North Euclid Avenue and East Liberty Boulevard for reports of shots fired in the area.
Arriving officers were directed to an apartment building in the 5800 block of East Liberty Boulevard where they located a juvenile, believed to be 16-year-old, male victim who had sustained a grazing gunshot wound to his head.
The victim was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics. He was transported in stable condition by Pittsburgh EMS to a local hospital.
A crime scene was located around the corner in the 500 block of Borland Street. The Mobile Crime Unit was called to the scene and will process all evidence, including recovered shell casings and all available video footage.
No other injuries were reported, but a residence on Borland Street was damaged by bullets.
There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
