Auto Squad Detective Arrest Male for Numerous Auto Thefts

Pittsburgh Police Auto Squad detectives have arrested Richard (aka Ricardo) Raspanti, 21, of Pittsburgh following multiple warrants for vehicle thefts.

Raspanti is accused of stealing seven Kia or Hyundai model vehicles in the city over an eight month period beginning in September 2024.

Allegheny County Police, Munhall PD, and University of Pittsburgh Police have each arrested Raspanti for similar crimes or attempts this year.

He is currently being held in the Allegheny County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.
