Published on February 26, 2025

At approximately 2:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS responded to a reported collision involving an SUV and a U-Haul truck at the intersection of Hamilton and Brushton Avenues.

The preliminary investigation indicates that an SUV, with an adult female driver, and a U-Haul truck, with an adult male driver, were involved in a vehicle collision.

Following the collision, both drivers stopped their vehicles and the adult female exited the SUV and engaged in a verbal altercation with the male driver. Witnesses state the male driver then fled the scene and, in the process, stuck and injured the female.

Pittsburgh EMS transported the female to an area hospital in critical condition.

Additionally, an adult male passenger in the SUV was also transported for medical evaluation out of an abundance of caution

The Collision Investigation Unit responded to the scene, and an investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
