What I love about the FEC is that it empowers people to reach their goals and become financially stable. I’ve worked in the nonprofit and social services sector for 10
years, most recently serving as the Director of the Community Assistance & Refugee Resettlement program at Northern Area Multi-Service Center. My team and I helped newly
arrived refugees find housing, connect to education resources, and find stable jobs as they began to rebuild their lives in Pittsburgh.
I received a B.S. in Spanish and Political Science from Minnesota State University Moorhead, and a Master of International Development (MID) from the Graduate School
of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh. In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my dog, Lenora and working on DIY projects in my

I am a Pittsburgh native with a passion for financial literacy and education. As a former financial literacy teacher at Propel Braddock Hills High School, I realize
the importance of personal finance education not only for young people, but people of all ages. I go to work every day to empower, provide support to overcome
obstacles, and help others achieve their financial goals. I have a B.A. in History from Allegheny College, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Chatham University
in Pittsburgh. In my spare time, I work as a barista for Starbucks, watch Riverdale with my three cats, and love to cook with my fiancé Matt.

I’m grateful for all of the help I’ve received throughout my life, and as a financial counselor, I’m ready to do my part to help others become financially stable.
I’ve spent years working with vulnerable and disadvantaged populations, most recently working a Job Developer at Northern Area Multi-Service Center. There, I helped
refugees from around the world find sustainable jobs, learn budgeting and money management skills, and attain self-sufficiency.
I am originally from South Sudan and am fluent in Arabic. I have an MBA with a concentration in International Business from Point Park University in Pittsburgh. I’m
excited to work for the FEC because I take great pride in empowering my clients to realize their potential for success.

I am passionate about how financial education not only improves the lives of the people who walk through the FEC’s doors, but also their families, communities, and,
ultimately, our city as a whole. Originally from Toledo, Ohio, I moved to Pittsburgh to participate in the Pittsburgh Urban Leadership Service Experience (PULSE),
after completing my undergraduate studies in environmental sciences and justice and peace studies at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Since then, I have spent most of my career working in the nonprofit sector, most recently at the Adult Learning Center, a GED preparation organization in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin, where I completed my master’s studies in educational policy at Marquette University. A recent returnee to the Steel City, I spend my spare time biking,
volunteering, and hanging out with my cat, Buddy.

I'm excited about helping people reach their financial goals! Being a Pittsburgh native, it's an honor serving my local communities. I have a BS in economics from
NC A&T State University, and an MA in education from Grand Canyon University. As an educator, I taught in various levels from elementary to GED education. Later,
I worked in banking for five years in various positions, including cash logistics and home refinancing. My passion is to always help others better their lives.
Now, it's such a privilege to work for the FEC because I can educate and assist others to become an advocate of their finances. In my free time, I enjoy reading,
trying new recipes, and being with family.
