“striving towards a goal of inclusivity & progress to meet the needs of Pittsburgh's LGBTQIA community"

who are we?

The Mayor's LGBTQIA+ Advisory Council will be charged with taking a comprehensive approach to meet the needs of the entire LGBTQIA+ community. The Advisory Council will consist of a diverse makeup of members within the community. Advisory Council members will meet monthly and provide quarterly status updates to the Mayor. Advisory Council Members will strive towards a goal of inclusivity and progress within the LGBTQIA+ community.

what do we do?

Members will act as a conduit for the LGBTQIA+ community to meet the needs of the constituents. Throughout their time on the Council, members will also serve on at least one sub-committees. Members will report to the Mayor and City Council and will provide annual progress reports as well as give recommendations for internal and legislative policy.
