- Disability Rights Pennsylvania - provides help to Pennsylvanians with disabilities who are experiencing problems or who have questions related to their disability. Users can contact this organization through its intake form, or 800-692-7443.
- Disability Claims - Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or “Disability” provides monthly payments to people who have a condition that affects their ability to work. This guide from Marc Whitehead & Associates provides key information on disability claims, insurance and benefits.
- Client Assistance Program — Advocacy program for people with disabilities, administered by the Center for Disability Law & Policy
- PEAL Center - Parent Education & Advocacy Leadership (PEAL) Center serves families seeking inclusion in healthcare and education across Pennsylvania.
- Achieva - advocates with, empowers, and supports people with disabilities and their families throughout their lives. Achieva provides inclusion services related to housing, employment, finance, and family support.
- Autism Urban Connections Inc - is the first and only African American, minority, family focused Autism nonprofit in Pennsylvania. They provide education, support, advocacy, and empowerment, with an emphasis on self-care to families of those diagnosed with Autism.
- Community Options, Inc. - Community Options provides housing and employment opportunities for people with disabilities. They support individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Autism Spectrum Disorder. Fragile X Syndrome, Prader-Willi, and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).
- Community Living and Support Services (CLASS) - The organization offers a variety of individualized services ranging from independent living skills training in the classroom to community-based case management for social, recreational, and residential supports.
- Center for Hearing and Deaf Services - offers comprehensive services for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Hard of Hearing, or English language learners.
- Disability Options Network, Inc.- a grass roots advocacy organization concentrating on advocacy around disability rights issues, as well as skills training, peer support, transitioning, and information and referral services.
- Disability Pride of PA - Disabled led nonprofit whose mission is to amplify diverse voices and cultivating the pride felt within our community as we advocate for an inclusive world. This resource provides information on accessible community events that bring disabled and non-disabled people together.
- Oakland For All: Beyond Accessible - This program is focused on ensuring that Pittsburgh's Oakland neighborhood is fully accessible and welcoming to all who live, work, and visit here. This organization sponsors Disability Weekend in Pittsburgh, including the popular event Ramp Crawl.
- National Stuttering Association - a non-profit organization that provides support and information to the stuttering community.
- United Cerebral Palsy - provides services and support on a community-by-community basis, serving the unique needs of people with cerebral palsy and other disabilities in their region. This organization focuses on services including housing, therapy, assistive technology training, early intervention programs, individual and family support, social and recreation programs, community living, state and local referrals, employment assistance and advocacy.
- Mid-Atlantic ADA Center - provides information, guidance, and training on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) tailored to meet the needs of businesses, government entities, organizations, and individuals in the Mid-Atlantic Region (DC, DE, MD, PA, VA, and WV).
- National Council on Disability - An independent federal agency committed to disability policy leadership since 1978. This organization provides policy advice to the federal government and issues reports on issues of concern within the disabled community.
- National Organization on Disability - The National Organization on Disability (NOD) increases employment opportunities for Americans with disabilities. NOD works with employers to help them understand the advantages of hiring people with disabilities.
- PA Department of Human Services - Our mission is to assist Pennsylvanians in leading safe, healthy, and productive lives through equitable, trauma-informed, and outcome-focused services. Under the ‘Services’ tab, on the website, there is a ‘Disability’ link.
- Allegheny County Department of Human Services - Whether in an emergency or dealing with a long-term concern, the Department of Human Services (DHS) has programs and services to help. Under the ‘Program & Services link, on their website there is a ‘Disability & Autism Supports’ section.
- PA Developmental Disabilities Council - engages in advocacy, systems change, and capacity building with people with developmental disabilities and their families.
- Independent Living Institute - works to promote opportunities for individuals with disabilities for more personal and political power, self-determination, full participation and equality through information, education, lobby and project activities.
- Social Security Administration - exists to administer retirement, disability, survivor, and family benefits, and enroll individuals in Medicare. The SSA also provides Social Security Numbers, which are unique identifiers needed to work, handle financial transactions, and determine eligibility for certain government services.
- National Association of the Deaf - provides a wide range of information for deaf and hard of hearing people, their families, and friends.
- Pittsburgh Commission on Human Relations - a civil rights organization focused on investigating instances of discrimination, providing outreach and education to communities about their rights, and recommending necessary protections in our City Code to provide all people in Pittsburgh with equal opportunities. This resource allows Pittsburgh residents to file complaints of disability discrimination.
- Health Bridges - The purpose of the website is to provide information segments and resources to people who are deaf, deaf-blind, hard of hearing, and to providers who serve this population.
- UPMC Disabilities Resource Center - providing all patients with quality care and equitable access to health care.
- ADA Business Brief - provides insight into regulations and policy on accessibility for people with disabilities. This Department of Justice resource offers advice on communicating with people who are deaf or hard of hearing in hospital settings.

- ACCESS - A Pittsburgh Regional Transit program that assists with transportation needs for those with disabilities.

- Allegheny County Housing Authority - The ACHA provides safe and decent affordable housing for low-income residents of Allegheny County and this resource contains information for potential applicants.
