Thomas Stangrecki

Thomas Stangrecki has been the Acting Chief of Police since July 2022. He has been with the Bureau of Police for over 34 years. Chief Stangrecki previously held the ranks of Officer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Commander, Assistant Chief and Deputy Chief. Prior to employment, he attended Brashear High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy, Senior Management Institute for Police, and Leadership Pittsburgh.
