Critical Communities - Prioritize, Coordinate, Connect

Our city's residents sometimes face barriers to accessing essential resources and services. The Critical Communities Manager works with community members, human service organizations, shelter and housing providers, criminal justice systems, public safety professionals, healthcare organizations, and nonprofits to prioritize public health, harm reduction, and person-centered solutions.

The Critical Communities Manager co-leads Allegheny County’s Homeless Outreach Coordinating Committee, partners with public safety to train first responders in connecting people with unmet needs to services, and collaborates to develop public-health informed programs.

We Work to Support:
Veterans
Individuals Experiencing Homelessness or Housing Instability
People Who Use Substances
Older Adults and Seniors
People Living with Disabilities
People with Mental Health Needs
