EMPLOYEE RIGHTS

Employee Rights

Check your specific collective bargaining agreement, department procedural orders, and civil service regulations.

The following are some general employee rights:

  • Accused employees may review the complaint and are entitled to a copy of their own statement upon request and once the investigation is complete.
  • Closing letters will be sent, which provides the employee the opportunity to review the OMI case report.
  • Any interview may result in disciplinary action depending on the outcome of the entire investigation.
    • An employee will always be informed of the possible work rule violations prior to the interview.

Possible closing categories are:

  • Sustained
  • Not Resolved
  • Exonerated
  • Unfounded

If employees wish to check their OMI history, they may request a review through the OMI Manager.
