Can I look up a property’s Certificate of Occupancy?

PLI welcomes everyone to search through all Department of Permits, Licenses and Inspections Certificates of Occupancy by visiting the Certificate of Occupancy Search Web page. Once on the page, you can search by using Certificate of Occupancy Permit Number, Address, Parcel ID, the Ward Number or a combination of the four search keywords.

Copies of Certificates of Occupancy are also available by completing a request form and emailing it to plirecords@pittsburghpa.gov or submitting a Right to Know request with the Open Records Officer in the City Law Department.
