Summary: The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police's Watch Commander was on a routine patrol in the Oakland and Squirrel Hill area around 1:40 a.m. when he observed a male climb the railing of the Panther Hollow Bridge in Schenley Park and appear ready to jump.

The Commander stopped and spoke to the male from inside his unmarked vehicle. The male was on top of the railing and teetering.

The male told the Commander he was experiencing a multitude of issues. The Commander asked the male if he would agree to be evaluated at Western Psych. The male agreed and CMU police transported the male without incident.
