Police, EMS, Respond for Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle in the Strip District

Summary:

Pittsburgh Police officers from Zone 2 responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Liberty Avenue at 21st St. at 11:30 p.m.

Responding officers and medics attended to a male victim down on the street. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

The initial investigation revealed he was walking in front of a stopped Port Authority bus when he was struck by a passing vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene and was fully cooperative with Police.

The Collision Investigation Unit will investigate the cause of the crash.
