Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 4200 block of Ludwick Street around 10:45 a.m. for a reported male in crisis.
When first responders arrived, they were notified of a male barricaded inside the home threating to harm himself.
SWAT and negotiators kept communication with the male who refused to exit the house. Just over an hour later, SWAT gained access where the male surrendered without incident.
The man was treated by on scene medics before being transported for additional assistance.
