Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers responded to a ShotSpotter notification of gunfire on the 6600 block of Frankstown Avenue around 2:05 a.m.
Zone 5 officers located a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and legs. Medics transported him in critical condition, but he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene for evidence. Major Crimes detectives are investigating.
