Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 3 as well as EMS responded to reports of a man stabbed in the 200 block of Reifert Way at approximately 12:40 p.m.
When they arrived on scene they found a male victim applying a towel to his head and complaining of feeling faint. Officers quickly determined he had not, in fact, been stabbed.
The victim told police two males approached him on the street with a gun, threatened him and began pistol-whipping him on the head before robbing him of a sum of money.
Both male suspects then left the scene.
EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for observation.
Police are investigating.
