Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 3, as well as EMS, responded to report of a male who was struck by a vehicle on E. Carson Street and S. 17th Street just before 1:25 a.m.
When officers arrived on scene they found a large crowd of people surrounding a male lying by the corner of the sidewalk.
The male had sustained injuries to his left leg and his left arm.
EMS arrived to provide aid to the male, who was transported in stable condition to Mercy Hospital for treatment.
A witness told police the victim had started to cross Carson Street when he struck by a white Dodge Ram truck driven by an unknown male.
Police are investigating.
