Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers from Zone 3, as well as EMS, responded to reports of a shot fired in the 100 block of Birmingham Avenue just after 1:45 a.m.
When they arrived on scene they discovered a male victim with a single gunshot wound to his upper arm. The male was alert and talking and told police he was shot while walking in the area.
He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.
Police are investigating.
