UPDATE: Police and EMS responded to a male shot in the Strip District

Summary:
Pittsburgh Police responded to a Shotspotter alert and 9-1-1 calls for a male shot on the 2700 block of Penn Avenue around 9:10 p.m.
When Zone 2 officers arrived, they discovered a male with a gunshot wound to the head. Officers rendered aid until medics arrived.
Medics transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
UPDATE (Feb. 22 9:30 a.m.) The victim was pronounced deceased after arriving at the hospital. An arrest warrant has been issued, and police are in consultation with the District Attorneys Office on charges.
