Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on the 2800 block of Shadeland Avenue around 1:30 p.m.
The fire was called in by medics at Medic 10, which is located nearby on Shadeland at Dickson Street. Pittsburgh Police also responded.
When firefighters arrived, they found two row houses fully involved. All residents were safely evacuated. The fire went to three alarms and caused extensive damage throughout both homes.
Officials declared the fire under control shortly before 2 p.m. No injuries were reported.
The Fire Investigation Unit, comprised of Police detectives and Fire Bureau investigators, will determine the cause of the fire.
